# Magisterial Developer API pricing

Six plans on the /v1 API. Every API key inherits its owner's plan. Plans
are bought on their own and are separate from the per-sport coaching
subscriptions (https://magisterial.ai/pricing.md).

Free is for students, hobbyists and quick scripts. Plus, Premium, Developer
Pro and Developer Ultra are bought online and scale from a side project to a
product in production. Enterprise is a per-customer agreement for companies
that integrate the data into their own product.

The API returns the plan as free, plus, premium, developer (Developer Pro),
ultra (Developer Ultra) or enterprise.

- The free read endpoints are on every plan: players search and profiles,
  season stats, teams, rosters, coaching staffs, games, careers and
  transfers, movements, conferences, the filter catalog, and the coverage
  matrix (coverage needs no key at all).
- Every paid plan also pays for chat in the Magisterial app
  (https://magisterial.ai): each answer is one request against the monthly
  quota and draws on the included usage. A developer plan adds no coaching
  tier; the rest of the app follows the account's coaching plan.
- Developer Pro, Developer Ultra and Enterprise accounts can have a team: 5,
  50 and 100 people by default, the owner included. Everyone shares the
  account's plan, rate limits, monthly quota and bill, and keeps their own
  keys. The owner manages billing; admins manage members and keys. Invite

- Test keys (mag_test_) are blocked from billed endpoints — development can
  never create charges.
- Usage-billed endpoints (every paid plan), under a monthly budget cap you
  control:
  - Natural-language query POST /v1/query: model cost x 3, drawn first from
    the plan's included monthly usage
  - Bulk exports POST /v1/exports: $0.10 per started 10,000-row block
    (gzipped CSV/JSONL, failed exports never billed); up to 50,000 rows per
    job on Plus, 250,000 on Premium, 500,000 on Developer Pro and 5,000,000
    on Developer Ultra
  - Live transfer-portal feed GET /v1/portal: $0.05/request on Plus and
    Premium, included from Developer Pro up. The portal needs a verified
    coach on the account on every plan.
  - Portal watch alerts: $5/alert/month on Plus and Premium, included from
    Developer Pro up
- A Free key calling one of these endpoints receives 403 plan_required.
  Buying a plan enables usage billing on the same subscription. Every
  response carries X-Magisterial-Plan and, on capped plans,
  X-Monthly-Quota-Limit / X-Monthly-Quota-Remaining / X-Monthly-Quota-Reset; once a month's quota is
  used the API returns 429 monthly_quota_exceeded until the UTC calendar
  month rolls over.
